Pakistan tour of New Zealand 2024 will start from 12th of January 2024 and will conclude on 21st January 2024. The New Zealand Cricket Team will play a five-match Twenty20 international series against Pakistan.

New Zealand Team Update
New Zealand Cricket (NZC) named a 13-man squad for the same on Wednesday, January 3. Matt Henry has been called back into the squad, after being ruled out of the ICC World Cup due to hamstring Injury. Captain Kane Williamson and Devon Conway will also make come back in the squad after missing the Bangladesh T20I series.
Williamson will miss the third T20I match as he is still recovering from the knee injury. In his absence, Uncapped Josh Clarkson will be considered as a cover, Mitchell Santner will be Standing Captain. Rachin Ravindra has given much needed break as he was with Blackcaps from August 2023.
Pacer Lockie Ferguson will be available in last three T20I matches of the series. Ben Sears, after impressive performance in recently concluded Bangladesh series, has been included in the squad for first two matches of the series.
With the T20 World cup scheduled in June, New Zealand will consider every match important for their preparation. New Zealand will play three T20I series before the Mega Event.

Pakistan Team Update
Pakistan is rebuilding their team for shorter format of the game with new chief selector and new Captain. They have named their 17 member squad with mixture of youth and experienced players. The notable absentee from the squad is Shadab Khan, Mohammad Hasnain and Naseem Shah.
Shadab Khan is left out due to ankle injury whereas Hasnain and Naseem have recovered from the injury and in undergoing rehab at the cricket academy. Test Captain Shan Masood is not considered in shorter format as they are thinking of having impact players in the squad.
Haris Rauf who opt out of test match series against Australia is back in the squad.
With T20 World cup is within six months from now, Pakistan have to check all aspect of game and with new set of players under new Captain will be daunting task but Pakistani players do have advantage of playing different franchise cricket. Lets see how this series unfolds for them.
